Port Community Liaison Committee

The Port Community Liaison Committee (PCLC) is an ongoing mechanism for communication and engagement between the Halifax Port Authority and the larger Halifax community. The purpose of the committee is to foster meaningful communication and information sharing between the Port and members of the public, and to solicit feedback from those affected by port operations and projects. The PCLC is independently chaired and comprised of individuals who represent a broad mix of port city citizens with emphasis on experience, insight and diversity.

New Member Application:

Applications for the Port Community Liaison Committee are accepted year-round. Applicants will be contacted directly when spaces become available.

The committee is an ongoing mechanism for communication and engagement between the Halifax Port Authority and the larger Halifax community. The committee is volunteer based and meets once every second month.

If you are interested in contributing to our port city , please email [email protected] and be sure to include the following information:
- Name
- Age
- Occupation (student, job title, etc.)
- Preferred contact phone number and email address
- Please answer the question: What does Port City Halifax mean to you?

We welcome applications from Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, veterans and persons of all races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities and expressions. We also welcome applications from non-Canadians who are eligible to work in Canada.
If you are a member of one of the above groups, you are encouraged to self-identify.
