Halifax Port Authority hosting third annual One Port City Day
June 13, 2024
Come celebrate our maritime culture at the third annual One Port City Day at the Halifax Seaport. This interactive event takes place rain or shine Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
One Port City Day is a free community event celebrating our valued partnerships within the port industry and broader community as we come together as One Port City.
The event features exhibits from port partners, vessel displays, live music, a family fun zone, mini train rides on CN’s Little Obie, tours of HMCS Shawinigan and HMCS Glace Bay and bus tours of PSA Halifax Atlantic Hub terminal.
The PIER (our centre for Port Innovation, Engagement, and Research) will open its doors for interactive exhibits from community members including Sipekne'katik Treaty Truckhouse, Africville Museum, Back to the Sea Society, and Mission to Seafarers Halifax.
To share information on the Port’s Sustainability Strategy launching later this month, we have sustainability activities taking place during One Port City Day. And as part of our ongoing sustainability efforts, please consider public transit, active transportation, or carpooling as part of your planning for the day.
Special thanks to our sponsors CN and PSA Halifax for their generous support.
We look forward to seeing you on June 15th at the Halifax Seaport!
