July 6, 2016, Halifax, Nova Scotia – The Halifax Port Authority Board of Directors announced today the unanimous approval of a contract extension for Karen Oldfield, President and CEO, until December 2018. The next few years are critical in the master planning for the Port of Halifax and Ms. Oldfield will be leading her team through this process, focusing on building for the future.

The Port of Halifax is a major economic engine focused on the development of all business areas – cargo, cruise and real estate.
