Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market moving to new location

July 5, 2022, Halifax, NS – The Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market will open in its new location on Saturday, July 9, 2022. Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market vendors and customers will make the short move to Pavilion 23 into what is a permanent and purpose-built location. To celebrate this move into Pavilion 23, the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market will feature live entertainment and family-friendly activities.

“First off, we want to thank our vendors and customers for staying with us through all these changes over the past two years,” said Nick Garside, Director of Real Estate, Halifax Port Authority. “We hope their patience and dedication is rewarded with this new space that we are moving into. In developing the new location for the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market, we focused on keeping what works well and adding some new features that will elevate the experience for our customers and our vendors.”

The new space, located in the west end of the former Cunard Centre, is approximately 18,000 sq ft and will feature space for about 100 tables inside. There will be overflow space outside of the building for vendors who prefer an open-air experience during the warmer months. Everything is located on one level, with plenty of space for farmers, artisans, prepared food vendors, and lots of available parking for customers. The new location will feature a chalk message board for the young and young-at-heart to express themselves, and there will soon be a dedicated café situated within the Market area. The Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market will continue to operate on weekends only, and the space will be available as an events venue outside of regular Farmers’ Market hours of operation, calls for which are already coming in.

Hours of Operation:

  • Saturday – 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Sunday – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
