Jim Spatz reappointed to Halifax Port Authority Board of Directors

April 3, 2017, Halifax, Nova Scotia – Mr. Jim Spatz has been reappointed by the Government of Canada as the Federal director to the Halifax Port Authority Board of Directors to hold office for a term of three years. He was first appointed to the Halifax Port Authority Board of Directors in May of 2016.

Mr. Spatz is a business leader and philanthropist. After spending 13 years as a medical doctor, Jim became Chairman and CEO of Southwest Properties Limited, one of Atlantic Canada’s leading real estate development firms. He has taken on leadership roles in several organizations. He serves on the Board of Directors for CJPAC (Canadian Jewish Political Affairs Committee) and Blue Line Innovations Incorporated. He is a member of the Parker Street Food and Furniture Bank Advisory Board and serves as a Life Director of Neptune Theatre. Jim also served on the Board of Governors for Dalhousie University from 2001 – 2015, and served as Board Chair from 2008 – 2014. Jim currently sits on the National Executive Committee for the 2017 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference.
