Saturdays are back at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market

July 3, 2020, Halifax, Nova Scotia – On Saturday, July 4, primary producers will be back inside the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market building. The Market will operate from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m. inside and out, featuring primary producers and permanent stall tenant vendors.

Vendors will be placed 10 feet apart to maintain physical distancing. Customers will be required to maintain 6 feet of space from other customers. Masks are not mandatory, but we encourage everyone to follow public health guidelines and respect the safety and well-being of others.

Seniors and people with special health needs will be invited to shop from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. The general public can shop from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. A maximum of 150 customers at a time will be allowed in the building which will be monitored. Customers can enter through the South doors and exit through the North West doors. Proper signage and wayfinding will be in place to help guide people.

Harbourwalk North, the roadway in front of the Market building, will be closed to vehicle traffic between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The next phase of reopening will focus on reintroducing grocery vendors, followed by prepared food table vendors and artisans.
